Because he is who he is. Have a house on my dad property that we started remodeling and well dad and hubs don't get along too well and push came to shove and now the house sits there half done and I'm "stuck" at hubs granny's (lived here 11 years) house has been there for 5 years of that. Not trying to start a pity party but me being broke I can't afford or have the strength to build anything.barely have my chicks in a semi non wet coop right now

well you were one step ahead of me then because my run was a flooded mess!!! Trust me, Bill and I have both been where you are-not that long ago....!!!and I feel ya about not having strength for anything-I cant even hold a cup of coffee in my left hand! I also know it can go as quickly as it came so we try to bless others often in honor and thanks for what we ourselves have been blessed with

It's chicken math, it sneaks up on you. Just keep convincing him to build new places for more chickens and before you know it, you're overrun with chickens and he won't even know how it happened.

Thanks everyone.. Everyday is a struggle but I haven't given up yet. God knows what's he is doing and His timing is perfect not ours. I have work to do for the winter months to keep them dry but at least they haven't ate al the grass in the run/coop or they would be a muddy mess too. I love my chicks and he told me to down size and like I've said I only have 9 chickens... God defiantly has all my glory to him because I am just one little piece in his plan but he has blessed me with 4 kids (some days are harder then others) but that's life.

I have 4 kids too, but we want more.

How old are your kids?

mine are 12, almost 6, 2, and almost 6 months.

I am sorry your husband's not as understanding about the chickens.
