Incubation day 2

Hello All,

Well my mallard didn't make it out of the egg :-( I have started incubating 7 new eggs to try again because I enjoyed the whole process so much.

We are on day 2 of incubation and two of the eggs now have developed a line, two different colors on half of egg, what is this?
Temp in incubator is a steady 99.5 and humidity is 60.

Could you try posting a picture?

I've never worked with duck eggs, but for chickens I think 60% is considered too high that early. I know ducks are different, however.

OK the silly line was the plastic on the heat sensor

Anyway, the humidity stabilized at 55% RH so that is good. Things are moving along well so far. I will keep you all updated
