Incubation Peking duck & mix chicken eggs

Hi folks

I am receiving mixed information on incubating chicken and duck eggs together. Duration and lock down. I'm told duck eggs can take 30 days lockdown day 26 , told chicken eggs 28 days lock down day 24. I put my duck eggs in today and wanting to put Chook eggs in at the right time so both in lock down together .

Please any advice much appreciated Chris

Pekin duck eggs take 28 days to hatch, and lock down on day 25. Chickens take 21 days, and lock down on day 18. If you want them to hatch at the same time, you need to set your chicken eggs a week after you set your pekin eggs.

Thanks, first time so could be interesting, unfortunately i got both eggs at once so unsure if this will effect fertility or not with having to wait a week
