Incubation problem. Only duck eggs.

Thank you, but I've read through those and a ton of other pages.

Maybe I will email her. One of the first things I thought of was the eggs standing up. I cut some egg trays and set one batch laying down. You know, I almost think they are getting turned too much. I believe the 1502s turn every hour or two.

YOu have them on a turner?? Sitting upright??

Temp is 99.5-99.6. Humidity is 30%. Everything is hatching great, even my pea eggs.

I started upright and the last batch laying down. Same thing, they start well and just dud out.

My incubator turns every hour. Could it be possible that they are getting turned too much?

I had a lot of problems with bacteria and drowning with my last batch of ducks. I suggest cleaning out the incubator thoroughly that you are using, and maybe sanitize the hatching eggs if they are obviously dirty. If its not bacteria maybe the breeder stock has a deficiency? Other than that im stumped!

I can try that, but I will have to wait a bit. Have a bunch of eggs yet.

I'm stumped too. Ugh. The eggs in question have sat outside for a week. The owners wait for broodies, but numerous geese, turkeys and other ducks have hatched from the same people. I could understand lower hatch rates from older eggs but these simply quit.
