Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

What I have discovered is by covering them up with a wet paper towel or wash cloth actually causes issues. What that does is cause them to have to absorb the wetness from it then they can finish absorbing, causing them to get exhausted and give up.. So I do not recommend covering them up the only time I would is if they have not absorbed enough like a quarter size or more then it's absolutely necessary because that means there veins are full and if those veins get dried just a pitch it will end the process..

Have you already wet her down? The shell around the hole is a different color then the rest of the shell under her?? which tells me, it's very very wet. That's to much water in there.

Yes, we did wet her a little...but the different color is the same "dark spot" that is in the picture I posted last night. It is where the air space was.

Give her two hours, lets see if most of that water dry up maybe caused from the washcloth... that's a big hole and apparently she is not fully absorbed, that's why she hasn't cracked yet.

is she making any noises? She's probably just moving her beak a lot and yawning which is good this is how they absorb. They peep because they are having contractions that's how they get the yolk inside them.

I went back and looked at those pictures, when they are ready to crack, you will clearly see the beak going upwards and most of the air cell space is dark. That means they have absorbed and are getting ready to come out, she was not at that stage yet.
