Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Glad you said this!  After your other post saying we might need to act quickly, I thought you were going to tell me I should start removing the membrane!

We moved the incubator into our family room so we can literally sit and watch him...

Little guy is now doing a head nod - up and down like saying yes - in addition to the side to side - like saying no!

Humidity is 55% - should I increase it?

I wouldn't, it should increase each time we wet him. We need to cut his time down, until we can get him to do the yawning and peeping thing. We have to get him to absorb. So let's check on him at 230 instead of 3...

Sounds like he's more active that's good, let's get rid of those veins and start absorbing better and will be on the right track with ducky., So exciting, we're having a baby!!!!

The head moving thing could be that his is trying to wiggle into a position to get that yolk absorbed, so he's got to toss his little body around to make sure to gets all of it..

The yolk is bigger then his body so they have to get into different positions to shove it up in there. Sort of speaking.

If they move to much they could break it, if they move to little it will take for ever, if he's sticky as bad as peeper, they struggle. I don't think he's struggling his veins from the first pic to the next pic showed huge improvements as far absorbing...

So within one hour he went from lots of veins to 1/4 that's really good, I just can't believe he's not making any noise.. I'm wondering if he's trying to absorb his veins before he absorbs his yolk. Hummm they usually don't do that veins are the last thing they work on... Well have to see what he looks like at 230 I could spend all day guessing. Lol. Hopefully he'll start to blow up soon.. Lol

Blow up - as in fill out the shell? I think he's doing that now. He's definitely wiggling, and I don't think I told you, but he moves a lot more when I am "working" on him - wetting and when I tried to clean him off with the Q-tip. That's when I see the most yawning and hear the most peeping....Do you want a photo at 2:30 before I do anything?

Nice, that's what we need we need him to make noise and yawn, blow up, if you remember when they absorb all there yolk they get to big for the shell that's when they have the two choices to sit there and do nothing or to plan there escape. So he needs to absorb that yolk then hell get to big to stay in that shell...

Yes pic at 230..
