Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Still waiting on the muscovys to start laying.. thinking about ordering some of the french white eggs in the meantime..

My Ancona eggs had a 100% hatch rate (shipped eggs).. and even had a few Khaki Campbells hatch out to keep them company..

Added 3 test batches of turkey eggs a few weeks ago.. they are 100% fertile so far (the Tom has been a busy boy)... so we're going to be overrun with turkey poults around the end of the month

Setting more duck eggs later today.. Blue Swedish and Giant Pekins this time.. test hatch on the Pekins.. the Swedish are shipped eggs

French white muscovy eggs are in the incubator.. along with a few of the regular muscovy eggs...

I don't have enough experience to try incubating shipped eggs, lol. Maybe someday...

ah.. they aren't that bad..just have to hope the USPS doesn't break them or scramble them

wonky and broken air cells are no biggie.. I've had worse issues with sellers misrepresenting what they are selling (especially Jubilee Orpington eggs) or the ones who don't own males but still sell the eggs as "fertile"

ah..that's only because some of the mother ducks have had it bred out of them (or the raccoons, snakes and skunks feast on the eggs while momma is away from the nest)!
Oh your just being modest, which makes it all the more impressive

You do pretty difficult hatches and get amazing results. And all in homemade incubators! It's just mind boggling! Oh, to be a fly on the wall while you work your magic
