Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

And I love experiments! I got these eggs from a friend so they weren't shipped (unless you count the drive from her house to mine, and I let them sit 24 hours just in case) and she has tons more if I want to try again. Which I will, now that I know just how many things I've done wrong that can easily be done right next round. But, still have my fingers crossed for these 4.

I found those and have them saved. So much information!! I love it! I just wish I'd thought to look for it before I started the eggs-I went off the instructions the incubator came with and it just said 99.5 degrees, 86 for the wet bulb, and 27 days for Muscovy.

The eggs are 21 days along-should I change anything now or wait? (I was thinking of lowering the humidity a little until lockdown but no idea if that would actually do anything or just create more issue)
It said 27 days for Muscovy! That's sad... As for adjusting the humidty, not sure what I would do.

Surprise in my incubator... thought I was gonna have muscovy ducklings, but they look like runners, or runner/Muscovy crosses, lol.

I think I've lost Egg C (the one with the tiny air sac). Candled last night (Day 23) and there's only one vein visible and its tiny and thin, there was no movement, and there's a funny grayish blue spot beside the air sac. It almost looks like a bubble. I moved it away from the others-can't decide if I should take it out or leave it.

The other three have grown, their air sacs are getting larger, and they were kicking and wiggling like worms.Seven more days!

NOT so Good, HOWEVER, I did find another Solution.. OMG, I don't know why I didn't think of this before..

I had another egg very sticky and in my mind when they are like this they sufficate, well HOW the heck do you get them from being so wet. SO I had to internally pip this one egg then LOL... Waiting to see if he survives, so far ALL GOOD..

Cool! Wednesday will be 30 days. One egg is solid duckling, I can barely see inside at all. The other two look like they are behind, still seems like a lot of empty space between the dark smudge of duckling and the air sac. With three days(ish) to go what do you suggest?

Hi everyone,

Happy to be joining this thread I just set 25 Muscovy duck eggs in the still air incubator on Sunday. This is our first incubation! They were taken from various clutches that my ducks have laid over the past couple weeks (honestly, there are a few that could be really old... I just grabbed whatever was laying out without disturbing their active nests). I weighed each egg before putting it in the incubator, and marked the air cell on about half of them (I was pressed for time with my 7 year old "helping").

Any recommendations on turning them quickly in a still air incubator? I'm worried about all of that heat loss each time I turn them.
