Incubation Questions!

Hello!

It has been a few years since I last incubated and hatched eggs, so I have some questions.

I have the Genesis 1588 (New) w/ auto turner. I have never use an automatic turner before, but I understand that it is shut off the last three days (Day 18). After being shut off, are the chicks able to hatch in the turner? Would I be better off removing the turner at 18 Days?

Another option I have: I have an LG that is functional, but an LG none the less. Should I use this as a hatcher, and risk the temp fluctuations?

You and I have the same set up LG and all

Take out your auto turner on day 18. If you have used the LG many times and have it just right I think you could use it as your hatcher. If your not confident with it, I wouldn't risk an expensive hatch with it.

Thank you! I have had some perfect LG hatches, and some real losers. I think you are right, it is not worth the risk for more expensive eggs! Thank you
