Isn't this the best feeling in the world, when you have set your eggs in the incubator. 3 weeks always feels like such a long time to wait. This time I'm using a broody hen as well. First time using a broody and it's my broodys first time so I'm hoping all will work out. My broody has been dutifully sitting since the weekend on an empty nest as I kept taking her eggs aswell as any others that managed to be lay while she was of feeding pooping and drinking and she has plucked her breast feather out. I don't have a rooster so have brought fertile hatching eggs for her.

4 araucana, 8 barred rock, and 8 barnevelder. 14 are in the incubator and 6 under my hen. She is a light sussex so a good broody breed 😁
