I am using a brinsea ecoglow ovation 28 which, when the eggs are in the cradles will automatically turn the egg a quarter of a turn and then back and then a quarter of a turn the other way. Is this correct? I thought you hand turned eggs 170 degrees at a time?

I believe that what matters is that the eggs are not left in the same position unduly long. When I use my incubator I turn the eggs by hand; I simply make sure that all the eggs have been turned; not any specific degree of turn.
