Stop turning at 25 days

Supposedly go to 28 days but ours usually hatch at 27 days!

Happy Hatching and have a blessed day! PM me if you need more help.

Hi,

28 days if you have the Temp set at 100. I'd put them in the hatching tray at 26. Raise the humidity at that time too if you can.

I just hatched about 40+ guineas that I took from a nest after one of the two mommas was taken off the nest by a coyote - I think. Didn't get a real good look at the potlicker.

As things will be, I had chicks hatching the same day as the guineas started to hatch. After having to open the door to the incubator a few times and pull chicks out to toe punch them, I noticed some of the guineas where having a harder time getting out of the shell. I actually had to help several out of the shell before I realized what the problem was. I put the humidifier pad in the water tray and things were fine after that.

Best Wishes with you hatch.

God Bless,

Guineas, they say, take 28 days to incubate and hatch. Ours have almost always started pipping on day 25. (Not all of them, just a few) Ours rarely go to the full 28 days, but we'll leave un-hatched eggs in the incubator 3-5 days past the 28 day mark.

If you're using an automatic turner I'd suggest moving the eggs out of it on day 24. (You can always tap on the eggs to see if you can hear any movement, if you hear sound you should probably stop turning the eggs) Normally you'd take the eggs out of the turner\\stop turning on day 25.

Ours like to pip/hatch on day 25.

Ah, ok. That's so great

Our guinea hen is on day 25 today and she already has at least six keets. (We had a hen hatch guineas also and hers pipped and hatched on day 25 also)

I'd say after day 24 you better keep your eyes peeled for keets! Good luck and we want pics once they hatch

i was going to take mine off turner today.day 24. opened lid and keet was wrapped in wires. scared the crap outta me when it started moving. i didnt see it at first.outta 36 eggs bunch have pipped. hope moving them is not gonna mess anything up.

Better to take that chance than to have some injured in the turner, RIVERRAT.

I haven't hatched guineas all that much, but the last ones I did hatch were all done by day 26.
