Ok. I am on day 16 and could have swore I saw some pipping and egg shaking on day 15 last night.

My question is: I have 136 eggs waiting to hatch and how long can the first chick hang out in there before it needs to come out while waiting on the others to hatch. I don't want to remove the top of the bator and shrink wrap the other chicks.

All help is needed.

Thanks

You can leave them in the incubator for about 24 hours, however I like to get them out before this. It is up to you, BUT you have to be careful not to let too much humidity out of the bator as that could cause some not to hatch. If you get some hatching today, I would leave them in there till this evening and remove the completely dried off birds before you hit the sack. The rest can be removed tomorrow morning. Do not remove any wet chicks.

I think you can leave them for 12 to 48 hours but that might just be chickens
we just ordered 48 quail eggs cause we didn't get much luck with our other quail only got 3 out of 12 and 1 died cause it was premature the other one the cat got and the other one didn't have a friend and we just found him/her i the corner and it was dead
