I don't know if anyone else has had this happen. I keep my incubator inside, due to a shortage of outlets in the shed. One of my cats loves sleeping on top of it, due to the warmth (smart cat!). I found a solution. I put a cookie rack on top of the incubator - that provides about an inch of space between the air holes and the cat, and it seeks to work. I've hatched out 6 chicks so far!

thats a great idea. mine dont sleep there but when its time for hatch and it can hear the babies it tries to get in the bator so i set a water bottle next to it when i go to bed. they know what that is for and they will stay away. lol
