Hi all I am new to BYC I have a question(Probably a dumb question) what really is the difference between an incubator and a brooder..Is one heated and the other has a heat lamp instead.

Thanks,Collin

An incubator is used to keep the eggs at a constant temperature and humidity level for approx 21 days to hatch. A brooder is something you put the newly hatched chicks in. Both are heated, the brooder usually by a heat lamp.
