I have been kicking around the idea of building my own bator.

This is what I came up with so far:

1) 3/4 in plywood "box" hinged lid with plexi glass window
2) line inside walls and top with foam insulation
3) heat source - Reptile Heat Cable, 15W Red by zoomed w/ ReptiTemp 500R Therm/Rem Sensor to regulate temp
4) raised "table" for eggs about 1inch above heat cable, made from hardware cloth

thoughts?

I was thinking to keep it simple. I like the idea of a "dry" hatch that is in the how to section.

But, I guess I need a Humidity Gauge. What are the best ways of adding humidity to the bator?

I am also thinking a auto turner would be nice. So I dont have to open it to turn the eggs. but that might have to be a later addition.
