Incubator for birthday = SO MANY CHOICES! Help!

I have 6 styro and 1 sportsman and 1 borrowed sportsman..

they all workfine..

to you I suggest a cabinet model like the sportsman or dicky. I have never seen a dicky, but people praise them and say they are better than the sportsman. If in fact they are better, they must be quite a machine beause a sportsman is also quite a machine.

either one will last you a lifetime..
the styrofoam ones will last a long time, but there are precautions that you do have to take with them to make them last..

at first you might not mind turning by hand, but it does get old, fast..
and further down the road, you might find that you do not have the spare time to turn eggs so often, and that is when you would be forced to "store" your bator until you have time again to play with it.. then a lot of years go by and you start hatching again when you retire..

lol yeah I dont like turning by hand. I know hens usually get up off the nest during the setting period to eat or go poop a huge stink bomb. lol but I really prefer leaving the incubator closed as much as possible despite the routines of a hen.
