Incubator has odd smell. Worried about the eggs

It still smells funky, I think. I have it running 24/7 to help break it in. I've been playing with it all day to make sure I get the temp/humidity right.

I think I'll have to chance it and hope the smell isn't bad for the eggs. It's so strange to think that things can get inside an egg and kill it. You think of an egg as a massive steel shield. Fingers crossed it's just the New Car smell! My cat has been glued to it for days and is acting normal at least. I know eggs are very different though.

many of us use that same incubator....it is very good for for starting. I didn’t notice a smell but I started mine up in the shed before temps dropped and I had to bring it inside. As suggested earlier take this time to calibrate your temp as mine was off by 2*+ at first and calibrate the hygrometer you plan to use by salt test. I currently have a January hatch-a-long thread going that you are welcome to join! Lots of hatchaholics there with a wealth of knowledge and we all love sharing baby pics!!

I just received my new incubator, and it has a smell that's simular too burnt toast. Will it go away, or stay? Is it possible for the smell to harm eggs I'm planing to hatch next month?
