Incubator heating & thermostat help

I am building large incubator. The heating system I am using operates at 750 watts on low and 1500 watts on hi. I need a thermostat that will handle the wattage. I do not want to use a hot water heater thermostat. Any idea what options I have for under $100?

Dont know unless its a house thermostat, Rebelcowboy on here could tell you what you need, Hes very good with this kinda stuff.

Well if you have $100.00 for a thermostat than you could get an 80 dollar GQF electronic thermostat. I don't know if a $25.00 wafer thermostat could handle that wattage.

Hi, I got this gadget from the same seller.

So far it's working perfectly. I am sure it could handle more wattage than you might use.

You only need to add a sensor (costs 10 quid).

A wafer thermostat is rated for 22 amps... At 110 volts thats over 3000 watts so it would work. I have not seen any digital thermostats that handle over 500 watts.

How to use weaker thermostats.
Go buy a bosh relay

An use a 12V phone charger. run the ground to post 85 an the hot threw the thermostat an to post 86. Then run the heater power wire thrue the relay like you would have on the thermostat using post 30 an 87.
That will have the thermostat controlling everything but the relay handling the power. That way you can use any thermostat you want. I use a house Mercury bubble thermostat wired like that on one incubator.
