O my gosh! I put the temperature to 99.5 degrees. After an hour, the temperature went up to 112 degrees! Do you think this chick is dead? then today it was about 96 degrees. I opened it and I saw a white hole or circle in the middle of the egg. What happened?

EDIT* it was the first day yesterday. And it was the first 1 hour of the incubating time. I opened/cracked the egg just like 30 minutes ago and I see a hole looking circle inside it. Does that mean it's starting to develop?

I do not mean if it is fertile or infertile. I mean do I have a change. Chance? It went up to 112 DEGREES.

How far along in your hatch? A hole in the shell usually means a pip and a chick is alive in there and about ready to come out and meet you.

do you mean a bullseye? it means the egg is/was fertile. I had two spikes myself and one temp drop.Dont give up let them have a week and candle them. I still made a 50% hatch rate.

edit oh and try to get the temp to 101-102F without fan and 99.5F -100f if you have a fan in the bator. and keep the humidity around 45-50%

If it was a white circle in the yolk, then it is a fertilized egg.

It means it was a fertile egg. You have to incubate at 100 degrees for 24 - 36 hours to actually see the embryo begin to develop.

guys what i mean is does this egg have hope? it went up to 112 degrees!

When you say "this egg" I think you mean "one egg" and you already said you opened it.
I assume you have more? and they will be fine. it was a short spike in temp....so I would go ahead with the incubation and see what happens.
Maybe some one else will not agree?
Mine had a spike yesterday to 121 for 10 minutes I'm still hoping they will hatch in a week from now.
Good luck to you and me lol
