Incubator here, now for the eggs???'s

Incubator and turner are set up and have been holding very steady temps. I was going to start with my barred rocks. I put the hens and Roo in the breeding pen. Will the eggs be fertile from this Roo right away, or should I wait awhile? How long? Other hints?

Were they running together before you put them in the breeding pen? If not I would wait around a week or so and then they should be fine. Also I wouldn't store the eggs for more than 7 days before incubating them. I have stored them longer and they were fine, but you do get better hatch rates from fresher eggs.
