Hello BYC! I just set a dozen eggs to hatch yesterday in one of those cheapo styrofoam incubators. Currently I’m having trouble raising the humidity to the 50%-60% range as the manual said, but reading up on it, most hatchers said incubator manuals are not good to go by. The incubator is in our laundry room and unfortunately that’s the only place we can keep it right now. The humidity is running at 44%-46% and I was wondering if that will be fine for the eggs? I’m planning on just keeping it at that rate and monitoring the air cells but wanted to check if that humidity was fine before I left it there. Thanks!

Some of the foam incubators are pretty good.
40%-46% humidity is called a dry hatch, many people use it.
have you calibrated your sensors? What model of foam incubator is it? Where does the water go?
