Well i did it!
i finally picked and bought a incubator, I got the genesis 1588 with the auto turner

I'm so egg-cited! LOL
im gonna try and hatch some of my own here, RIR and orp crosses, and i would love to give the Trader joe thing a go and see what we get!

OMGosh yes!
do you have any pics of any full grown?

MY orp roo is mean.... has got blood from both myself and hubby. I dont think he will be staying long. I cant have him out there and go after my 10 year old. Hes young and not at all a gentleman either.
Bums me out, he is HUGE and so pretty

well they are in the bator and the hatching should start next Sat!

i have 2 silkie crosses ,a leghorn/orpington mix, 3 RIR/orpington mixes and 1 white silkie egg that has made it so far.
so out of the 7, ill see what makes it to hatch.

you will love your hov-a-bator 1588. Thats what I have been using for the last year. Because of the digital thermostat you can rest at ease knowing you won't have any temperature spikes in it.
Just recommend getting a hygrometer, which you can purchase and analog one at petco (for reptile cages) for like $6. Then you're all set!

Good luck! Remember to raise humidity to 60% the last 3 days, but not higher, that can cause problems too.
