Incubator is a bloody mess help!! (graphic pics)

x 2 - is it possible your hygrometer and/or thermometer could be off?

I use two of each in every incubator I have. It doesn't take but one hatch like this one to be paranoid.

Oh my! If your chicks are always hatching on day 19 you may want to try lowering the temp a little bit do that they hatch closer to day 21. I'm not sure if that is intestines or just a yolk sack that didn't have time to absorb. What kind of thermometer and hydrometer are you using? Have you calibrated them?

It could be. It read 99 most of the time. And humidity was around 50-55

I agree with all:

That is the umbilical (rough navel) and some seem to have the yolk sac not completely absorbed.
The chicks are hatching too early, the only ones I've ever had hatch earlier than day 21 were small bantams.
Your temp is too high (early hatchers) and your humidity is too high. The high humidity makes them hatch too easy so they don't absorb the yolk completely and come out of the egg before they are ready.

What kind of thermo/hygrometer are you using and what is the temperature at? What model incubator?

No I've never thought about it bc I always had like one chick on 19 or 20 and have always been fine.

I also have wheaten marans on too and they were in same bator and one hatched today and looks fine with two more pipping.

I would definitely consider lowering the humidity a bit considering these hatch results. I keep mine between 30-35% days 1-18, and bump up to about 60% (give or take) thereafter. Everyone's "ideal" humidity will vary due to the difference in relative humidity in different areas, different times of the year, but your chicks just look like your humidity needs to come down.

I run my humidity at 35% and then bump it up to 70% for lockdown.

This is making me nervous! I am on my 1st ever hatch, and have 4 thermometers, 2 mercury, 2 digital- and they read about 98-101, and humidity ranging from 50-60.
