Incubator is empty, what should I do now???

I just cleaned the bator...you know what that means??? I have some of my own hens laying fertile eggs.....I am so impatient...I can't even wait on some shipped eggs????

You know an empty clean incubator must be filled!! What a silly question to ask...especially of a bunch of enablers.

Take what ever is close at hand and go for it...but don't forget the pictures.

Just a general question. When ya'll hatch eggs in a bator do most of you all keep the chickens? I live in the city otherwise I would probably do that also. I just do not have room

I do keep most of mine. I don't have a large flock. I have a couple of neighbors, friends and some from 4-H that buy from me. I have never put more than a dozen in at a time and it takes 21 days to get them hatched. So I don't have any problems with over crowding. There are always people out here wanting chickens. My personal goal is to raise birds to standard for my children to show. We also have a small flock that are pets that we get eggs from. Hope that helps.

OHh..I have also heard of some selling at auctions.

3 little silkie eggs went in the bator....got to have more than that!
