Ok, here's the update:
Last night 1 chick was born with the yolk sack unabsorbed. The other chicks started picking on him, so I put a paper towel in the bottom of a plastic bowl, put him inside to isolate him from the other chicks and left him in the incubator. I also put a bottle cap full of medicated chick starter in there with him. He almost immediately started eating. This morning when I got up, the yolk sack was dried up and turned black. His skin has started closing up around it, and I assume it will fall off soon. He had enough energy to break himself out of isolation. Haha
The 4th chick that was born had a red cord attached to him as well, but no yolk sack. The other 2 lively chicks started picking on him too. I removed the 2 energetic fuzz balls and put them in my brooder. I left 1 in the plastic bowl and 1 free to roam the incubator. Now the 2 sicklies are out of isolation wandering around the incubator. They both appear to be in good health.
I have 3 eggs left that have not pipped. I candled on day 17 and they had live embryos in them. I hope nothing has gone wrong with them. I guess I'm going to wait it out. Tomorrow starts day 25. How long should I give them? Is it normal for the eggs to hath days apart, or is it safe to assume something's probably wrong?
