I've done 4 or 5 hatches over the last couple of years. Each time the bater becomes stinky after a week or two. Not overly stinky but it smells. This time I have 39 eggs in it and it smells just fine. No odor at all. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

I went on lockdown this morning so I'll have a definitive answer in about 3 days but I'm just wondering....

Don't know about stinky, but I would store it with a sachet of baking soda in it. This will absorb any odor and maybe use some of those silica packets that you see in the shoe boxes at the shoe store. They absorb moisture. I snatch them up when my DW goes to the shoe store and put them in with my power tools.
