Up until about a month ago it had been years since I have incubated eggs. I had a few pekin duck eggs that I wanted to try to hatch. My incubator fired up nicely and once the temperature was stable I added the eggs. I did not check the humidity but based on the absence of moisture on the windows I can only assume it was okay. The process went smoothly with the temperature running a little high but the eggs hatched just fine. The only "issue" I had was at the very end of the process when I added the extra water to the trough the condensation begin to appear on the windows. I managed that by propping up the edge of the incubator. When the hatch was complete I cleaned the incubator. I was able to get my hands on a few more eggs recently. I turned the incubator back on and now I am having issues with condensation on the windows. I have the incubator in the garage where the first hatch occurred but is it possible that a change in the temperature of the garage (I'm in Florida) would have an impact on the temperature/humidity in the incubator. It just seems odd that I had no issues on the first run and now I have this. I paid for this second batch of eggs so I am a little bit nervous. Any suggestions? I have a Hovabator 1602N model.
