Incubator Question

Another question on an incubator, we had to cut the power off to the house for 3hrs. Egg temp dropped to 80*, will i have Ny problems, power came bac on and went back to 99.5*

It takes awhile for the core temperature of the egg to drop, so you should be O.K. Just keep in mind that when eggs cool down during incubation it may cause them to hatch a little late, so don't worry if they don't start hatching bang on time.

Put fat end up that is were the chick breaths ,, i have never set my eggs on any date i just hatch year around

Day 21. Well so far one made it out the egg, wife said she hears six others so they should begin cracking out. I did candle all the eggs 10 days after we put the heat to the incubator and found 8 that were clear through and through, cracked them and they were no good. I did take them off the roller Sunday, will see how many make it or break it...

COOL!! YAY Come on peepers!!

Four more made it out the shell with some others not far behind. Waiting on a chick to come out of the white egg, rooster is 100% RIR and the hen is 100% white leghorn...most of the dark brown eggs are RIR hens so it will be a straight run there.
