Incubator R-COM 20, worth it?

OK, need to correct this! JMT did in fact come through for me and worked their butts off to do it. I appreciate how hard they worked to finally make it right! There really was a glitch that wasn't their fault, nor were they aware of it ......and when they found it they took care of it!!!! YAY!

I couldn't find an answer on this thread, and I'm curous how the RCOM 20 compares to the Brinsea Advance 20 EX. Anyone know? Anyone have both/

Thanks,

Becky

I'd go for the rcom any day. It's a completely different beast. I've not owned the Brinsea, but the turning platform outside the machine versus a conveyor floor inside the rcom is what makes the rcom soooooo amazing. I also love the built in humidity system...it's just more sophisticated.

It was a HUGE pain to get and I have to use a power converter...but, it was all worth it!

What the difference between the RCOM 20 and the RCOM 20 Pro? The RCOM 20 is on sale now for $409, but the 20 Pro is $630. If I'm going to spend $630, I might as well get a Dickey.

I am bumping this thread because it has been extremely helpful and I want to hear more. My husband wants to buy me a bator for Xmas because I am getting sebbie geese eggs this spring. :D the rcom 20 pro sounds soooo cool but do you think the features are worth $200 more? It seems like the regular rcom 20 does just the same stuff but isn't as hands free. My husband thinks we should get the pro because it will have a goose setting.
Thoughts?

Re bumping this thread as I noticed this Rcom models are on sale from jmt. I haven't seen the Rcom under $400 dollars as I have been watching and wishing for one. Reading some of the reviews, I can't believe it has an alarm every time it turns that can't be shut off. I am sure DH won't like that when he is trying to sleep during the night! I wish this model turned off automatically for lockdown, but I am sure I wouldn't forget that, as I am sure the anticipation would be great!

Any more thoughts anyone can offer on this bator before I take the plunge and go for it? I wish the pro was marked down a bit more too.

Thanks for any help,
MB
