It is a really great incubator. But with any new one you should always do a double check on the temps. I love my Brinsea, but it did take me a few hatches to get used to it. I had to do the same with my Hovabator so it is standard learning stuff with something "new" I have had way more success with my Brinsea than I did with my other incubators. I highly recommend it.

Dumb question, if it comes set to a certain temp, how do ya change it?

There is a little adjustment knob inside of the lid. I had to adjust mine a half of a turn and now it holds the perfect temp every time. I have the Eco version so I am assuming the Advance has the same adjustment thing.

Ok, thanks, I am going to get the ECO with turner cause the Advance is just a little too much $$$$ for me right now....

NOPE!!!!! Not checking it. If it says its 99.7 (Which It does) then thats what it is. The instructions even say NOT to test temp with a cheap glass or digital thermomter because this system is so advanced and I agree. I have spend 13-14 with 5 thermometers in my LG and NONE of them match. The second I put my digital sensor in there, I know its not going to match and I am going to be in temp hell all over again. Makign ajustments I shouldnt be making and putting 5 thermometers in this one. Whe whole point of me spending $300 is to NEVER have to do that again. Sorry, My LG has me going crazy

I thought about buying a spotcheck for this exact reason but I thought about it a day late and my incubator had already shipped and they wanted $15 or something to ship a $19.99 thermometer. Not paying that. Not to mention if my husband found out that I spendt $300 on this new incubator and saw me messing with thermometers and temps....He would lose his mind and ask Why I even bought it.

Here is hoping

That my Brinsea is calibrated correctly.

Did any of you register your incubator for the guarantee? If so do you get an email?
