Incubator temp problems please help

i ran my first hatch with a new hova bator 1588. my temp pretty much stayed on100.3 the whole time . i hatched that batch turned it off while i cleaned it andreloaded it. now its running high wants to stay between 100.5 and 101.3 . Iadded water on the first hatch in the beginning and the end. this time i did thesame. does the water make it run higher? Is there anything i can do ? if i crack the lid will it help lower the temp?

I have a 1588 and it runs pre-set at 98.5 pretty consistently. Perhaps the ambient temp in your room that the bator is in is too warm. Try a diff location to see if that changes the situation. Also, what type of thermometer/hygrometer are you using? Do you feel that it is accurate?
