FeathersNFur - Yah know I am just going to have to try and lower the temp. We are going to have to show these Naysayers it can be done lol. I really wasnt sure but I know I heard that somewhere, Thanks, what a great way to reduce waste.

No I dont think you are crazy, I was thinking I was the one going loco.

Maybe some folks can do a little test study ... gather the data and see ...
Maybe some have already tried and like FNF have some thoughts on the subject.

How do large hatcheries that produce egg layers from eggs do it? Has anyone done a study or have stats on how many make to females are usually produced in a hatch?

With the very large numbers of cockeral chicks that hatcheries destroy every day don't you think if there was a was to influence more female hatchings they would have discovered it by now?

That goes along with the theory I read. You never know until you try it. Like I said, the way I understood it was the sex of the chick did not change,just that more females made it to hatching at lower temps than higher ones. Now,if all of those eggs that did not hatch were female, how would that change your ratio?

All that sperm talk wouldn't do any good - it's not like humans where the male determines gender.

In chickens it's the hen's cell (egg) that determines gender of the offspring...

Now, maybe putting the HEN in the centrifuge might do something....doubt it though - you'd just wind up with a very dizzy chicken...and 50% roos...

Um... guys & gals, the hen determines the sex of the chick.

There's no way to manipulate the sperm to get what you want. I do reckon you might could selectively breed only the girls that give you the higher ratio of female to male chicks, but it would take a long time. If that would even work.
