I have no idea how this happened it was set to 99.5 and has been on that temp for 6 weeks all of a sudden I woke up this morning an it had spiked to 104+ I immediately opened it to cool it down a little bit and adjusted the temp back Down it looks like its stable now but I don't know how long it was that high for I checke it late last night and it was fine!!! They were supposed to hatch yesterday or in the next few days !!! Do you think my button quail eggs will be ok????????:(

If it only spiked for a short period your probably OK.What kind of thermostat is it. I always take a Marker and mark the sweet spot..Then you probably can tell if it was moved by a gremlin ,kid, cat ,or whatever . If its still in same spot then you got something to go on.Room got too hot/ cold..Bad thermostat , whatever, sun shined in on it, whatever...cva34

Its in my laundry/utility room in my house it has not been moved and the room has no windows my son was sleeping the whole time very strange but what I'd it was like that for hours??? Like I said they were supposed to hatch already or in the next four days so I'm really nervous they were rare eggs and I won't be able to replace them I'm so stressed I just gave all my adults away except for one female so if these don't hatch I'm back at square one ;(
