My thermometer said it was 108 in the incubator. I changed a few things, and now the new thermometer is reading 100. Do you think the growing chickens will be ok?

Hi
Glad you could join the flock! 108 is high do you know how long it was at that temp? A short blip in temp should not be a problem but if it was for a prolonged period of time it could certainly be a danger for embryos. Have you calibrated your thermometer? Are sure it's reading correct?
Always best to check before hand to be sure. Once you have it stable again I would candle the eggs to see what is happening in them. Here is an excellent article on incubating with lots of info on how important temps are > http://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101
Good luck with your eggs I hope you are able to keep your temps steady.
