Incubator temps

I think I'm confused as to what you mean by a thermostat. I thought that was the thermometer you were talking about. What's the thermostat for?

can ya post a pick of your setup
a thermostat is what controls the power to the light bulb based on the temp.
Does the power cord run straight to the lamp or is there something in between the plug and the bulb

Nothing but plug, cord. and then lamp set up. I haven't hooked anything else to it. Give me a minute and I can get a picture.
Here's the top:

Here's the inside:

and here is the side with the thermometer and humidity gauge:

You can see the little metal thing in the incubator for the temperature and the humidity levels. It's registering over 80% right now and that's with it shut off, but I think it's because it's closed and there is water in a dish in there.

Awesome... I have a question though. Does the thermostat have to be connected to the lamp? I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but there are no screw things to attach the wiires to it. I just spliced my wires together to get the light to work. Would it work to connect wires to the thermostat and run them out of the cooler and them splice them into the wires on the light?

I think since ya already have the hole in the bator and its a smaller space. I would take everything out wire everything up and install everything and stick the cord out hole and then finish everything up
