Okay, sounds good.
If I know the model, I'll let know how to calibrate it.
If i get this and install it I should be able to control the temperature again?
I believe so, yes.If i get this and install it I should be able to control the temperature again?
This is one model that will work. I have one similar, same brand that I use in the brooder for the chicks' heat plate. You put the sensor inside the incubator (maybe through a vent), plug the incubator into the regulator, and the regulator into a wall outlet. You would have to hand-turn the eggs, unless the turner has its own power cord.Do you have any resources on buying or installing a temp regulator?
I definitely believe the zilla thermometer moreI have one of those IncuTherm thermometers. I tested it against four other thermometers, and it always read 1-2 degrees too low or too high (mostly too high), depending on the placement and which of my two incubators I was testing it in. I could never get a stable reading from it. I use it now in the chicken coop, as I don't need a precise temp out there, just approximate.
I already dont have an automatic egg turner and do it myself. I think I will investigate the regulator thats on my incubator and unless i learn something new I'll order that part that someone linked and try to replace itThis is one model that will work. 102 is ideal for still air bators in MY experience.. where are your thermometer located?? on the rack floor, on top of the eggs, etc.Ive been incubating for 13 days now. There are 12 eggs and the entire time the incubator has been running hot, the incubator is still air and the dial that controls temp is not working, so the incubator has been running between 103 and 107. Ive just tried to turn the eggs more frequently and when i do i take the lid off the incubator to let the temp decrease for a moment. I figured the eggs would be dead already but it looks like theres 2 duds and one quitter. Is the fact that the eggs are developing fine a sign that the temp is alright or do eggs usually die later in the incubation?
