Thanks for replying so fast AmyLynn2374. I have been using the DE powder, but maybe not often enough. I will have to step up treatment & hopefully I won't lose any more.

DE is not an effective treatment for an active outbreak. It's a deterrent at best. For an active lice/mite outbreak you need to treat with something more targeted. Pyrethrin is a good choice. Works well, non-toxic, and you can still eat the eggs. You will need to retreat every two weeks till there are no more lice/mites on the birds.Thanks for replying so fast AmyLynn2374.
