incubator versus hatcher........

I am wandering if anyone uses a incubator for the first 18 days and then uses a hatcher for the lockdown. I have a separate Bator setup for hatching because I start eggs on different days in my incubator and humidity needs to stay the same in there. I move eggs to the hatcher on day 18. I am having lower hatch rates and wandering what it may be. What are your thoughts and do you have any suggestions? Thanks.

I use this all the time. I have 2 sportmans and a hatcher. Before this i used the LJ's and i have a few times used one as a hatcher with no problems just have to be sure to keep the humitity up and the temps right. i have added a wet spunge to the hatcher. please excuse my spelling.

If you do staggered hatches, I totally recommed a hatcher.
If not, there is nothing wrong with hatching in the 'bator.

Sorry your having lower hatch rates.
