Incubator VS broody hen

Ok, so I have hatched chicks with a broody on several occasions but am currently researching incubators. So many choices available
With the hens they do all the work and I've had good hatch rates BUT I'd like to be able to set more eggs than what a hen can sit on.
So my journey begins in the crazy search of a good bator preferably with an autonomic egg turner....I think....

I've been asking around myself as I'm in need of a new incubator for the Easter Hatch A Long. Hope you don't mind me spying on your thread to see what people say. I'm currently leaning towards the Hovabator Genesis but since I have some time yet I'm wanting more opinions.

I’ll go for Brinsea products, I own the Mini II EX and co-own an Ovation 28 EX. Both have automatic turners and automatic humidity feeders and gauge. No baby sitting required, I even went on biz trip for a week, fully reliable hatches very closed to 100% all the time. It’s on the pricey side but we’re dealing with precious eggs here, so we’re pretty satisfied with the investment and the outcome.

I don't remember the name of mine. I like the incubator but will use a broody hen if I get one. Experienced hens have such good hatch rates and you don't need to worry about monitoring temp or humidity or anything like that.

I LOVE my Brinsea Ovation 28 EX (wish I spent the extra $100 to get the 56 egg version) it does everything automatically and is very good at handling environmental temp swings.

If I had to go cheaper, I would get the Incuview.

Another vote for a Brinsea EX model. Completely set it and forget it, although I check the temp/humidity 50 times a day anyway. Has always maintained what I set it to. I’ve got both the mini and the ovation 28 and they both work great.

Was able to score the ovation EX on amazon for $300. It’s worth always checking prices as they fluctuate on the site.

Thank you all for responding! Do you set up in your home or garage? I'm going thru a lot of incubator articles and it's all fantastic information but sometimes conflicting and I have ZERO incubator experience

In the house. You want the environment as stable as possible so your incubator doesn't have to fight to stay warm enough or have trouble staying cool enough.

If you don't have a climate controlled house and your day/night temps vary a lot with the weather, I HIGHLY recommend the Brinsea incubators. They keep up with temp swings VERY well. I live in an old farm house and the Brinsea Ovation temp was rock steady.
