Incubator was at 96-97, will eggs hatch? Success stories?

I have found my mercury thermometers to be more accurate than various digitals.
Try the ice bath on your mercury.

How did your hatch turn out. My incubator has been on 96 and I am concerned. I have eggs that should have already hatched.

Dang I guess they never hatched? He was either too excited or too sad to come back and tell us.

I can say I had this same issue and was wondering myself. I have a Janoel and I made the rookie mistake of not checking that the thermometer matched the incubator. On day 20 I had no pips so.of course I started examining everything. Noticed the Temps were off and then one pipped. Two were born late on day 21. Then on day 22 another pipped and hatched! Then later that day another pipped. I'm on day 23 today at 2pm and I have 3 hatched chicks, 1 that should hatch anytime now, and another that just pipped. I have 5 more to go. Everytime I plan on opening up the bator to candle the remaining eggs, another one pips. So I guess I got lucky and it seems like mine just hatched late. Good luck though.

Of course. A mercury thermometer operates purely on laws of physics.
Digital thermometer is cheap electronic components and some off shore "programmers" who coded the firmware.

thats pretty lucky .. early on ive got away with too low temps, in the later stages if it gets too cool ive wound up with dead chicks in the shell, pretty disappointing, or it can cause an un-normal weak chick rate and several die after hatching .. thats my fault for getting too careless and not paying close enough attention .. again, catch it early enough and theyll probably just hatch alittle late, long as its not the other way and they got roasted, thats curtains at any stage if its more than just a very short period ..
