Incubator...

Quote:
I kind of made a similar incubator 16" square with a 12v power supply pc fan, 25w bulb, my problem is the temp is too hot or too cold (no thermostat) if you use a thermostat you can use a higher wattage bulb, i gave up on mine and ordered a hova bator. ideal hatching range can be any where from 99.5- 103 (, anything over 103 can kill the eggs (my failed incubator made it to 107 but most of the time barely gets up to 100)

Right now, mine is just above 80 degrees... but we just put it in there about an hour ago. The dimmer makes it easier to control the temperature without a thermostat... but, we are using a meat thermometer because we haven't gotten a normal one yet. Any suggestions for me from your past experience??? Thankyou

I haven't ever used a dimmer switch for a temperature controller in an incubator. By the way, you will learn a lot better, if you let problems come to you, and then ask us, or figure it out by yourself.

These pictures were taken before we put the fan in there, so yes, it does have one in there, and it is up to 95 degrees! I am so excited! :)
