What is the best incubator to use for an 8 year old that wants to incubate some eggs?

We figured we would try like a dozen eggs and see what happens. We are doing it just for fun

Good luck with your adventures, and I hope you find everything you need to know! Don't forget to take a look at BYC's very useful learning center (If you haven't already)! Glad to have you with us. I would try a Little Giant or a HovaBator.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! You've had some good suggestions above. The most popular styrofoam incubators are probably the Little Giant and Hova-Bators, this time of year most feed stores will carry one or the other, I like the Hova-Bators better myself. If you want to go with a more expensive incubator, the Brinseas are another brand to look at. http://incubatorwarehouse.com/ sells pretty much all brands they have a basic buyers guide also http://incubatorwarehouse.com/egg-incubator-buyers-guide

Welcome to BYC!

The R-Com series of incubators are easy and fun to use. Many of the smaller models have a scope you can attach to the window to look inside for candling and such. My first incubator was an R-Com and I had great success with it. The Hovabators are great starter incubators as well. Have had great success with these as well.

Good luck with your hatching and welcome to our flock!
