:plbb i havent had any troubles hatching dirty eggs, i started out with 10, they wre from a hidden nest so no one knows how old they are, they traveled for a couple hours in my fathers car (goodness knows how they survived that), settled for a day

at day 7 i candled and 1 clear, 1 blood ring and the other 8 are doing beautifully one of them even has a small crack near the AC, actually it might be in the AC now

I am doing an expected poor rate of hatch, hatch now. With my being sick and in the hospital and all, I did not get my eggs into the incubator when I should have..So who knows whether they will hatch or not.

The Toad eggs were nearly a month old when I set them (some of them)...and the humidity in my basement is unreal high this time of year...

Not like I need more birds anyways.
 
Ihatched bobwhite about 50 years ago in a bucket and light bulb. Lined the.bucket with foil and adjusted the amount of foil to get the temp right. I actually was pretty succesful. I hatched parrot eggs in a converted flower dryer. Now I have two little giants with turners.
