I break down my breeding groups during the heat of summer and the middle of winter. Mainly because it's easier to care for fewer groups.
Pretty much exactly what I'm thinking.
Do you mix your roosters together also or leave them separated?

nope but that's what they used prior to electricity being common... some of the first incubators commonly used on farmsteads were kerosene.

I have heard that they work well...I have an old Kerosene one that I picked up sight unseen but after getting it decided it was too nice to convert over to power. It sure is neat looking.
I added a photo, I'd be willing to sell it for what it cost me plus shipping to get it to you. $100 plus shipping. I really have no use for it and didn't know what it was before I bought it. I just heard "Incubator" and my brain scrambled, most of you know how that is!!I have heard that they work well...
I wouldn't be converting it because I need one that doesn't run on electricity. The fact that they look nice is a bonus.
I have been looking for one...I wonder if the Amish stores sell them?
That is an awesome deal...cool looking too. Have you tried using it?I added a photo, I'd be willing to sell it for what it cost me plus shipping to get it to you. $100 plus shipping. I am sort of looking for the wooden cabinet type. It would be good to find one locally too. I know there must be one in Maine somewhere.
Anyway, thanks for giving me first crack at it![]()
