This fogger

Or this one

I have been using a vaporizer but that is not working as well as I want. Can run the temp up too high.

I got this fogger... I am thinking they are the same but who knows.

I put two marks on the side of the container and I am sure glad that I did that.

Hello all... Can I join?
I am a first time incubator, and am planning to set about Feburary 1, or as soon as my thermo/hygro gets here!
I will be using a LG 9200 (with plans to upgrade) and setting some EE/Sultan & Silkie or BSL/ Sultan & Silkie.

Edited to fix model #

I had a little giant that I sold last year thinking I would never need it when I built a cabinet incubator. I sure wish I had it right now so I can use it for a hatcher. It gets addictive.

If you watch the Tractor Supply stores you can sometime pick them up half priced in late April to May. They start marking them down after they are done with the live baby chicks and if they are still on the shelves by May I have seen them at half price.

You guys got me thinking about how to fix my humidity issue. I found someone local that has a reptile fogger I am going to pick up... reason being the others seem to require CLEAN water and I can't ensure the water is clean much less filtered. the reptile fogger people use in water bowls and things they swim in. I saw a guy that used a cat litter bucket.... thought hum... I have HUNDREDS (not really) of those. So the guy used the fogger in the bucket and put a computer fan on the top to pull the fog out.... not sure that would work long term (can't be good on the electrical stuff in the fan). I do have a personal fan like the one you would set on your desk. Should I just put a hole on the side and BLOW the fog out? or does someone have a better idea?

I can't mock anything up but picture a litter bucket with a top (to keep debris out). I want at least 2 gallons of water so I would cut the hole for the fan about 2/3 of the say up on one side.... so how do I get the fog OUT? Small holes about an inch all around or one window on the opposite side? I will post a pic of what I am working with to humidify for hatching. Water and heat is in the bottom.

What kind of humidity problems have you got? Trying to figure out why you need this fogger??

Is this an incubator, hatcher, or brooder. Sorry. It looks nice with the windows.

I can't get humidity up for hatch 35-40% is about it. Chicks are shrink wrapping all the time. I tried a tub with water, didn't work. Added towels to add more surface to evaporate... didn't work. Added a second tub.... no. Then I added a vaporizer.... they work but get it too hot and get really nasty with all the dust. I can sort of fix it getting too hot by running with the thermostat but them the humidity is not high enough. I want something I can run all the time and that will hold a lot of water. A vaporizer empties every day and I don't really want to fill it for the 3 days. Set it and done kind of thing.

I really like the foggers in the incubator that I just was using had two 1.5 inch holes in the bater. One in the bottom and the other on the top. With the fogger, I could make the humidity rise easly if when wanted. I am thinking that all you need is some air to move over the water to get the fog out. I am not sure you will need a large bucket but we all experiment and have fun with it. Good luck.
