I am going to play with it and see. Fans are going to be easy. I use them to try to evaporate the water and move it and the heat UP. Now that I have a fogger and read the instructions... I need to find a way to keep adding water as the water level can't be above about 2 inches. I am thinking a drip system to add water. I have a 5 gal bucket with a plastic tube but it was not air tight and didn't work for a gravity system BUT if I can get a drip fitting for the pipe or adapters I can adjust my water drip to match the evaporation of the fogger. I see some science experiments in my future. We will see.........

Great idea. Keep us informed. I used one of these floats in the summer to water the chickens. I got it off of amazon for about $11 or so. All I had to do was walk by to check to see if there was water in the tub as I passed to get the eggs. It was the best thing I made. I cannot wait until summer. If you get one get the adjustable one as it is more forgiving. It looks like this and they do sell them for 1/4 inch line. I am not sure how they do in the incubator but I think that they are used in the cabinet style incubators but not sure. I just love tinkering with things. Good luck.

Is that like a float in a toilet? Where does the water come out?

Kind of. It is about the size of the picture or a couple of inches longer. The water goes into the white plastic nut where the threads are. Then it comes out under the angle thing where the float is connected to. A person will have to drill a hole in the side of the bowl / dish/ tub to fit the float thing on one side and the threaded part on the other side with the tube...

This video might help. I just googled the first one that looked like a short clip. I have not had any problems with too much water coming out... But not sure about using less pressure than what I used 40 psi. . This is one clip that just came up when googled on Youtube that might help understand more..

I attached mine to a end piece of a 4 inch pvc pipe then cut the top side of the 4 inch pipe out for water for the chickens. The piece of pipe was about 15 inches long. It worked better than good all summer with about 2 inches of water in it all the time.

Having a hard time keeping the humidity in my incubator up. I'm not sure if it's the humidifier or what. I'm hatching eggs for a photographer so it's a bit time sensitive. The first batch has been in the incubator for almost a week. I'm afraid they won't hatch. The humidity varies from 30%-80% but jumps back and fourth while the temperature stays 99 degrees. HELP

Questions, questions,
What kind of incubator?
Are you running a humidifier?
If so Why?
When does it peak at 80 and what happens to get it down to 30%?

I have hatched 1000's and 1000's, never used a humidifier, used many different incubators, never had humidity range back and forth any where close what you are stating?

I don't use any humidity source for the first 18 days at all.... I don't add humidity till they are in lockdown. 80% during incubation will kill them if it stays high.

So I am now running a test to see what happens with the new fogger. I have a shallow turkey pan and added the fogger in the top drawer and seems the vapors move from the pan and down with no problems. I will see what happens when temp is up usually that will cause the humidity to drop. Fingers crossed this is the answer to my lack of humidity at lockdown. I will update in a day or two.

Ok so I have a styrofoam incubator not sure of the exact model. The humidifier is just built in with the thermometer. When I was hatching ducklings it was critical that the humidity was perfect so I guess it's just habit. It's never done this before usually I can keep it stable. I'm trying to keep it within the 50% I'm not sure if just broken. Even last year o was successful hatching 100s of chicks. Not sure why it's all wonky. Should I just ignore it?
