Not really non stop ( I think it just feels that way, haha) but I think of I put it at the far side of the room and leave the door open it will be ok. It's really the best place, location wise, just because it's the central point of the downstairs. 41 eggs... I think I'm goin to need a bigger coop.
Remember half will be boys.

yea when your ready let me know and I will build you one like this.

I built this one for me and will be building me a few more to go with it.

Really like that bator... How much will you be charging to build one like that? shipping would be from zip code 76078 So you can tell me how much shipping would be. That is to Texas.

Can you see the chicks hatching when they start. I need to think of a hatcher to use. The bator I have is a 1266 if I remembered that right. I have 2 trays that turn and one on the bottom that is stationary so i just put the eggs down there that are ready to be hatched. Not sure If I can put

Not sure If I can put hatching eggs in the turners while I am waiting for the chicks to hatch. Have not done it yet. I just hatched out my first eggs in it.

I sell that one for 550.00 plus shipping . it weighs about 100 lbs so shipping will run around 150.00 more or less. Yes you can see them hatching if you don't put the lids on.
Since you are in Texas it might be cheaper if you just drove up here and picked it up.

That's what I thought. Always wanted to try cooking on a fire. There is a pizza shop and a McDonalds only 7 miles from here, too! i have two bators for 4 dozen each. What's a reasonable size? Yours holds 200 eggs! We should turn the work shed (24x60) into chicken coops!

How big does a chicken door need to be? Trying to draw out plans for my bigger coop.

Depends on the size of the chickens! Really. We have different size doors because I used material I already had.
12 x 12 or 10 x 10 My hens duck if they need to and scoot thru the opening. I have turkeys and they use the 14 x 16 opening in another chicken coop.

Awesome, thanks. If I vanish about a month from now, send someone to check the impact zones on the ranges on Quantico... I've decided to bypass the dog house and take over a section of the garage instead. My husband may just kill me. Haha

well I also have one that holds 1500 eggs

so a reasonable size I couldn't say it only depends on how much room you have.
