This is a situation where you must have patience. Keep incubating and keep going. You do not know yet how much damage has been done. So keep hoping .. . ..keep on incubating. You must wait and see . . . .
Thanks so much for the advice. We're doing our best to be patient. Love the support..... we candled last night and it looks like we have one "mover" left out of 14, but we left them all in just in case..... we'll see. I'm gonna start looking for a stuffed animal just in case. We have another incubator that wasn't altered temp wise at all and is going along beautifully but it's a week behind!

Yay, chickens!

Quote: I'm so excited that you see movement in one, perhaps some of the others are good, too!!

WHen DH was pulled into over seeing the hatching of some of my eggs due to Irene, the first to hatch was very lonely. It was allowed to nestle on DH's chest for hours and once a second appeared, he curled a tube sock into a nest and the chicks loved it. It's like having children, we wing it when necessary.

Well it was a LITTLE hatch, I got 3 lavs from shipped eggs and I saw movement in another one

Sunday is lockdown for the BLRW I was hired to hatch....

10 developed, I saw movement in 7 so that is all a good sign..... I set guinea eggs at the same time and all but 3 of 29 developed

Good luck DOnna!! Never a dull moment hatching.

THere is one chick peeping from the OE so far; nearly every shipped egg developed. Needed to borrow your cookie rack idea--I have potentially 4 look alikes hatching in the same incubator at the same time. Blacks with some white on face and belly and feathered legs. Every hatch is a challenge.

I did like this one, only 3 bins of eggs.... easy! They all look alike too! HAHA

I am thinking I need to go looking IN my pens for eggs.... they have all gone on strike or something.... 16-18 eggs a day down from 45 WTH? I can only count maybe 5 broodies.... so that couldn't be it.

That is a drop in eggs . . hope you find the cause?

I set all the eggs I have, except the duck eggs, and my storage area is actually empty for the first time in months. Collection starts again today!

i started letting everyone free range every day, and stopped getting 8-10 and started getting 4 or 5... but i found the hidden stash yesterday!
so i've got wooden and plastic eggs in there now and know where to check, so
