That was my thinking, but I also don't want a deformed chick or worse it pass this trait down to its chicks.Donna if it is a nice line where every chick matters, then put in lock down with the others. and continue turning it when you can. It may quit at some point anyways. Or it may do fine.
Because I running batches often just a few days apart, I don't follow the lockdown rules. IMO eggs dry out too much when a chick takes too long to zip after the pip. This has been my observation.
